Serve as a key coordination point for GL and AA activities across global markets, ensuring consistency and alignment with corporate policies and schedules.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Asset Accounting Oversight:
- Manage and oversee the full lifecycle of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation, etc.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of all asset-related transactions in accordance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing:
- Ensure all asset-related journal entries, transfers, and disposals are posted accurately and promptly for month-end and year-end closes.
- Assist in preparing year-end reporting for audit purposes, ensuring all asset-related transactions are fully reconciled and supported by proper documentation.
- Process Improvement and Automation:
- Continuously evaluate and improve asset accounting processes, identifying opportunities to automate and streamline workflows.
- Participate in the implementation of new accounting software, updates, or upgrades to improve efficiency in managing fixed assets.
- Assist in the development and implementation of best practices and standardized procedures within asset accounting.
- Cross-functional collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments and markets to ensure proper asset-related data and processes integration.
- Liaise with the IT department to ensure accurate integration of asset data with the companys ERP system.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting staff or other departments on fixed asset processes and systems.
- In-depth knowledge of asset accounting processes and regulations.
- Ability to manage complex tasks and projects.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Proactive mindset, with a focus on continuous process improvement.
- University degree, preferably specializing in economics, finance, or accounting with a strong knowledge of IFRS and any other statutory/local GAAP;
- Min 3 years work experience in RTR area, with expertise in the Asset Accounting area and in a multinational working environment;
- Fluency in English is essential, other language is a plus;
- Knowledge of IFRS;
- Knowledge of MS Office;
- Knowledge of SAP;
- Excellent communication skills, strong personality, team player and business partner to operations;
- High integrity and ability to work with different cultures.
